The Center Associate plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service while supporting the daily operations of the center. This position involves assisting customers with shipping, printing, and business service needs, processing packages, operating office equipment, and ensuring a positive customer experience. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to all customers.
- Receive, process, and prepare packages for shipment through various courier services.
- Package items according to carrier guidelines and company standards.
- Assist customers with shipping, printing, copying, faxing, laminating, binding, and other business services.
- Operate point-of-sale systems and accurately process transactions.
- Resolve customer shipping concerns and provide effective solutions.
- Maintain expert knowledge of products, services, software, and store equipment.
- Assist with opening and closing store procedures as needed.
- Support store productivity and contribute to achieving operational goals.
- Implement local marketing initiatives and promotional programs.
- Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
- Maintain customer records and files using various software applications.
- Keep the center organized, clean, and professional at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous retail sales or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong computer, internet, and technology skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems and procedures.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible work ethic.
- Notary Public: Highly desired, or willing to become a licensed Notary Public (we will cover the cost!).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, lift, and move packages regularly.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and maneuver items weighing up to 150 pounds with appropriate equipment.
Schedule Requirements
- Must be available to work weekends.
- Flexible availability to work between 22–40 hours per week.
- Business hours:
- Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Sunday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
