A warm, bustling Upper West Side family is seeking a full-time, live-out nanny who genuinely enjoys the rhythm of a busy household and values long-term relationships. This is a collaborative role working alongside a longtime co-nanny and very hands-on mom in a respectful, supportive environment where caregivers are deeply appreciated.
Position Number: 2027KW
The Schedule:
- Full-time, live-out
- 44 hours per week guaranteed
- Monday-Thursday: 11 AM-8 PM
- Friday: 11 AM-7 PM
- Busy schedules and travel seasons require someone with flexibility during the week who can pivot with ease, always with advance notice.
Desired Start Date:
The Children:
- 4 children: a girl age 2.5 and boys ages 4, 9, and 11 years old
- The youngest is a confident, spirited, independent toddler who is eager to do things herself and keep up with her siblings.
- The preschooler is social, focused, and independent, with a big love for building, reading, and activities. He is currently in a half-day program and will begin full days in the fall.
- The 2 school-aged boys are active, athletic, social, and busy with sports and after-school schedules.
- Evenings are crunch times, as extracurriculars often run late, and are best supported by an engaged, organized, relatable adult who helps keep routines flowing and on track, from homework and showers to dinner and winding down with reading time.
The Family:
- This is a close-knit, bustling family rooted in respect, kindness, and structure. Mom is home and very hands-on alongside the nannies, while Dad’s job during the week is demanding, with more family time on the weekends.
- They truly value their nannies and have maintained long-term relationships with caregivers they deeply appreciate.
- Your co-nanny has been a stable force in the home for 12 years, and together you’ll navigate the weekdays with mom so all needs are met and no one is stretched too thin.
- The parents’ goal is to build a reciprocal, give-and-take partnership.
- They show up for their nannies and hope for the same in return.
- They love hearing great ideas, welcome suggestions, and truly strive to be thoughtful, supportive employers.
The Role:
- This role is all about being a steady, positive presence during the family’s busiest times of day.
- You’ll help with after-school and evening routines, transitions, light homework support, and creating a calm, organized environment.
- Light meal prep is part of the role and a combined effort with the co-nanny and mom, using mostly semi-prepared foods, with no chef-level cooking expected.
- Given the differing schedules, everyone tends to eat at different times, so meals are usually planned in advance.
- Driving is not required.
- A driver helps get the older boys to and from most activities.
- Swimming is a plus but not required.
Pets:
The Travel:
- The family travels seasonally, especially in the summer, and spends time out of state.
- Travel is discussed in advance, balanced between nannies, and includes overnight and travel stipends.
- You can expect several weeks of domestic travel annually, so flexibility in your schedule is important. From Massachusetts and the Berkshires to the mountains of Wyoming, this is a family of skiers and, while not required of you, it could be a fun opportunity to learn.
You:
- You’re warm, flexible, and genuinely enjoy the fun, funny, sometimes chaotic rhythm of a big family.
- You communicate clearly, take pride in being detailed and organized, and know when to be playful and when to be firm.
- You value long-term relationships and want to be part of a home where mutual respect truly matters.

- Two weeks PTO
- Weekly OMNY pass
