Summary/Objective: The Regional Area Manager will be responsible for a company's overall business operations within a particular area or region. Most of the duties will revolve around setting facility targets, creating strategies to boost financial gains, and maintaining an efficient workforce by having the right staff. Furthermore, the Regional Area Manager must oversee the progress of profits, evaluate the performance of employees, ensuring they are up to the targets and standards of the company's policies and regulations, conducting assessments, and reporting to the higher administration. The Regional Area Manager will work closely with and under the supervision of the Vice President of Operations.
Essential Functions
- Facilitating communication between Executive members and stakeholders within the organization and with regional facilities under their purview.
- Coordinate with federal and state agencies or departments to ensure that the organization is compliant and that goals are met.
- Coordinate with federal agencies to ensure that policies of the facilities are upheld, and regulations are enforced.
- Serve as a spokesperson for the organizations and specific facility mission and goals to the public.
- Oversee the implementation of programs to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Review and approve permits/contracts for development that may impact the facility.
- Participates in and plans in-service programs, as necessary.
- Attends Department Head Meetings and sits on required committees.
- Reviews and evaluates the work performance of assigned personnel as well as counsel/discipline assigned personnel according to established company personnel policy.
- Performs other responsibilities, as may be required, and as directed by the VPO.
- Trains, hires, fires subordinates; select, supervise, and provide professional development to Administration personnel.
- Develops job descriptions and training plans for subordinates as needed.
- Conducts performance reviews of subordinates.
- Oversees staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities.
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers, vendors and manufactures
- Developing business, marketing, and advertising plans.
- Planning and evaluating operations to be cost-effective.
- Ensuring employees reporting to them follow the company’s standard of procedures and policies.
- Preparing quarterly and yearly reports, analysis, statements and reports on finances and operations.
- Enforcing the company’s rules, regulations, and policies.
- Ensuring the completion of paperwork, projects, goals from the region.
- Developing project plans and assigning project personnel as appropriate.
- Seeking new business opportunities in their region and securing contracts for the company.
- Securing long-term relationships by maintaining practical client relations.
- Oversee the operations of multiple facilities.
- Guide, train and manage lower-level management and supervisors.
- Organize and implement training programs for staff in the entire region.
- Ensure that all facilities follow safety, health and business laws and regulations.
- Uphold company standards of excellence and service, guaranteeing quality performance.
- Collaborate with marketing team on meeting and maintaining goals of the respective facilities.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field such as business administration.
- Current Nursing Home Administrator license, in good standing with the board.
- Supervisory experience is also required for this position.
- This position requires that the employee is able to read, write, speak and understand the spoken English language to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our employees, patients and visitors at the facilities.
- Must provide verification of TST (tuberculin skin test) as required by state law and in accordance with Company policy. TSTs will be administered at the work site if required.
- Ability to work successfully within a team of staff and faculty members.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
