Core Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Manage a crew of installers, ensuring safety, productivity, and high-quality craftsmanship.
- Blueprint & Plan Mastery: Interpret complex mechanical plans, architectural drawings, and shop drawings to verify duct routing and sizing.
- Precision Installation: Oversee the installation of rectangular, round, and oval ductwork, including VAV boxes, fire dampers, and sound attenuators.
- Sheet Metal Fabrication: Perform expert field measurements and onsite modifications/fabrication of sheet metal transitions and fittings.
- On-Site Problem Solving: Proactively identify "clashes" with plumbing, electrical, or structural elements and develop field-engineered solutions.
- Communication & Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for General Contractors and other trades; provide daily progress reports to the Project Manager.
Required Skills & Experience
- Field Experience: 5+ years in commercial ductwork installation, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of SMACNA standards, duct sealing (mastic/gasket), and hanging hardware (Trapeze, Gripple, etc.).
- Blueprint Literacy: Ability to scale drawings and translate 2D plans into 3D field layouts.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills for coordinating with crews and reporting to management.
- Tools of the Trade: Must be proficient with all standard sheet metal tools, power tools, and digital layout/reporting software.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
