Spanish Teacher (K–8)
Are you fluent in Spanish and passionate about working with young learners?
The Language Project is hiring a Spanish teacher for the 2026–2027 school year, with classes beginning in August. This position is based in the Kansas City metro area and will serve one of our partner private Catholic schools located in Overland Park, KS or Kansas City, MO.
Position Details
Start Date: August 2026
Schedule:
- School-year position (August–May)
- Approximately 28–35 hours per week, depending on placement
- 4–5 weekdays per week
Teaching Levels: Elementary and middle school students (Grades K–8)
Training: Full training provided by The Language Project
Curriculum: All teaching materials, lesson plans, and instructional support are provided
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging Spanish immersion classes using pre-designed curriculum and materials
- Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment
- Build strong relationships with students, school staff, and administrators
- Complete grading and classroom responsibilities as assigned by the school
- Attend training sessions, workshops, and professional development as required
- Commit to the full academic year (August–May)
Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish
- Conversational English or higher
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Experience working or volunteering with children preferred
- Experience teaching or working with elementary and/or middle school students strongly preferred
