Day baker shift: 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM
Overview:
We are looking for a dependable and motivated Bakery Associate to join our team. In this role, you will support the daily operations of the bakery by preparing, packaging, and stocking fresh baked goods while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works well in a fast-paced setting, and enjoys collaborating with others. Previous bakery experience is not required. We are happy to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Operate bread slicing equipment safely and efficiently
- Package, label, and stock all baked goods
- Assist in the preparation of baked goods by accurately measuring ingredients and following recipes
- Work collaboratively with the bakery team to produce a variety of fresh baked goods and contribute ideas for new products
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in accordance with food safety standards
- Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to ensure products are prepared and available on schedule
- Monitor product quality and report any issues to management
- Provide friendly and professional customer service by answering phone calls, taking special orders, assisting customers with product questions, and fulfilling bakery requests.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age to operate kitchen equipment
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and food preparation is useful
- Previous experience in a bakery, kitchen environment, or food service is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
