Moltus Building Group is a commercial general contractor headquartered in Midland, Michigan, working locally in Michigan as well as throughout the United States and Canada for Fortune 100 companies and local entrepreneurs. We are a growing company actively seeking skilled individuals to join our concrete crew as a Concrete Finisher.
RESPONSIBILITY & DUTIES
The Concrete Finisher works under the direction of the Foreman/Superintendent and is responsible for producing high-quality concrete finishes, leading by example, and supporting crew development The list of duties below is not intended to be an all-inclusive list, nor is it arranged in order of priority. These duties are not meant to restrict initiative but rather describe minimum activities. The duties of this position shall range in complexity and nature depending on the needs of the department and company. Concrete Finisher duties shall include, but not be limited to:
- Perform all aspects of concrete finishing, including floating, troweling, edging, and brooming.
- Set, align, and strip forms according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and finish requirements.
- Ensure proper consolidation, leveling, and surface preparation of concrete.
- Verify correct drainage, elevation, and surface uniformity.
- Operate finishing tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and reliable condition.
- Follow all safety procedures and instructions from the foreman/superintendent.
- Prioritize tasks to keep finishing operations moving efficiently.
- Train laborers in proper techniques, safety practices, and productive work habits.
- Actively participate in self-development to improve finishing skills and prepare for advancement.

Qualifications
- Extensive experience in concrete finishing within commercial construction.
- Ability to perform physical labor and lift heavy materials for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of concrete behavior, curing, and finishing methods.
- OSHA and CPR/First Aid/AED certifications preferred (training available).
