ENTRY LEVEL TO JUNIOR MACHINIST LEVEL – CNC LATHE & MILL
Our Company is hiring a entry to junior level machinist with some hands-on lathe and mill experience who wants to continue learning and developing their skills.
This is not a zero-experience trainee position. Candidates should understand basic machining practices and have previous experience operating manual or CNC machines. However, you do not need to be a fully experienced setup machinist. We are willing to train a smart, dependable person who learns quickly, follows instructions, and wants to grow in the trade.
Responsibilities
- Operate lathes and milling machines safely
- Perform basic machine setups with guidance
- Read basic blueprints and job specifications
- Use micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools
- Inspect parts and maintain required tolerances
- Make basic tool offsets or machine adjustments
- Follow established machining, quality, and safety procedures
- Keep machines and work areas clean and organized
- Learn new machines, setups, and machining processes
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of hands-on machining experience or equivalent technical training
- Basic experience operating a lathe, mill, or both
- Basic blueprint-reading ability
- Experience using micrometers and calipers
- Understanding of machining safety and shop practices
- Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions and accept feedback
- Flexible, mechanically inclined, and able to learn quickly
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with both manual and CNC machines
- Familiarity with basic setups, tooling, speeds, and feeds
- Vocational-school or technical-program training
- Manufacturing, welding, automotive, or other mechanical experience

We are looking for someone who already has a basic machining foundation but wants the opportunity to become a stronger, more versatile machinist.
Pay: $22.50 - $28.00 per hour
