Waypoint is currently hiring In-home Registered Behavior Technicians. A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Waypoint provides direct, one-on-one support to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities using evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.
Working under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the RBT implements individualized treatment plans, collects data on client progress, and helps build essential communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills.
Through compassionate, consistent, and client-centered care, Waypoint's RBTs empower individuals to achieve meaningful progress while supporting families throughout their journey.
Position Highlights:

Paid Internship
- Weekly indirect hours (5+ hours per week) Receive at least 5 hours of weekly unrestricted supervision toward BCBA fieldwork requirements with no post-supervision employment contract.
- Meet with a supervisor two or more times per week
- No contract required for completing BCBA supervision
Required Skills
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a BCBA
- Collect and record behavioral data
- Build positive relationships with clients, families, and team members
- Collaborate with supervisors and clinical staff
- Assist with communication, social, and daily living skills
- Travel to client homes throughout the service area (May travel up to 40 miles each way)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to move in a variety of ways to include: bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, sitting on the floor, stooping, reaching, and lifting
- Ability to respond physically to the needs of clients who may require treatment on the floor, may require physical manipulation, may require toileting and feeding support, may need to be quickly pursued for safety, may be highly physically active, and may engage in physical aggression.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Regular attendance is required
Job Hazards:
- This role has the potential to have exposure to human waste, bodily fluids, and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable
- This role has the potential to be exposed to diseases or infections, the possibility of physical harm due to physical aggression or physical management of clients, and contact with household cleaning supplies.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred
- RBT preferred but not required
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Strong observational and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel up to 40 miles each way
