About the Role:
The Civil Project Engineer position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to site development and infrastructure projects from concept to completion. This role focuses on managing the technical aspects of projects, including design, permitting, and construction oversight, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with Florida regulations. This position also provides opportunities for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, interaction with clients, and mentorship of junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site evaluations, zoning reviews, and due diligence studies to inform project planning.
- Design site layouts, grading plans, and utility infrastructure (water, wastewater, and stormwater) using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Develop engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents for a variety of projects.
- Oversee permitting processes with regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
- Perform hydrology studies and stormwater management planning using industry-standard modeling software.
- Provide support during the construction phase, including site visits and resolution of technical issues.
- Maintain open communication with clients, project stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure project requirements are met.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and consultants to achieve project objectives.
- Review project deliverables to ensure technical accuracy, quality, and compliance with industry standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, promoting best practices and professional development.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, optimizing resources and maintaining efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Required.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Florida (preferred).
- A minimum of four (4) years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on site design, stormwater management, and permitting.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, stormwater modeling programs, and other relevant engineering software.
- Strong knowledge of Florida permitting processes, regulations, and engineering standards.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,427.00 per year
