Position Summary
The Retail Merchandiser is responsible for maintaining Coca-Cola product availability, merchandising standards, display execution, and shelf conditions within assigned retail accounts. This position ensures that Coca-Cola products are properly stocked, rotated, displayed, priced, and presented to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
The Retail Merchandiser serves as the company's frontline representative and plays a critical role in executing sales and marketing programs in retail stores.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Merchandising & Product Management
- Stock Coca-Cola products on shelves, coolers, and displays.
- Build and maintain product displays according to company standards.
- Rotate products using FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices.
- Remove damaged, outdated, or unsaleable product.
- Maintain clean, organized shelves and displays.
- Ensure products are properly faced and fronted.
- Fill all authorized shelf space and display locations.
Display Execution
- Build temporary and permanent displays.
- Install point-of-sale materials and signage.
- Execute promotional programs and marketing initiatives.
- Ensure displays meet company and customer standards.
- Maintain seasonal and promotional display activity.
Inventory Management
- Identify and correct out-of-stock conditions.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages.
- Assist Account Managers with inventory recommendations.
- Verify product counts when necessary.
- Report slow-moving or discontinued items.
Cooler Management
- Stock and organize cold drink equipment.
- Maintain proper product assortment.
- Ensure coolers are clean and operating correctly.
- Verify pricing and promotional materials.
- Report equipment issues promptly.
Customer Service
- Develop positive relationships with store personnel.
- Respond professionally to customer requests.
- Resolve merchandising issues within assigned accounts.
- Communicate customer concerns to management.
Store Audits
- Verify pricing accuracy.
- Ensure planogram compliance.
- Check promotional execution.
- Identify opportunities for additional displays.
- Document account conditions through company reporting systems.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety policies.
- Operate company vehicles safely.
- Follow proper lifting and material handling procedures.
- Wear required company uniforms and PPE.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Daily Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Reliable transportation to report to work.
- Ability to operate smartphones and handheld devices.

- Ability to work independently.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.

Work Schedule
