American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring Level I trauma and telemetry experience along with pre/post cath lab and IR procedure experience.

Inpatient PACU setting within a Level I Trauma, teaching, children's hospital
-
1:2 patient ratio in PACU
-
Day shift, 4x12 hours, 11:00-23:30
-
Floating required to the Holding area within PACU with ratios of 1:3-5, equivalent to an inpatient PCU assignment
-
Weekend requirement of one per month
-
On-call requirement of 1-2 overnight call shifts monthly on a 4-week schedule

Must work 2 of the 3 major holiday bundles (Thanksgiving/day after, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)

Uses Cerner charting system
-
Black scrub color required
-
No block scheduling accommodations
-
Active RN license (NM or Compact) required
-
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
-
Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required

Level I trauma center experience required (Level II trauma experience not accepted)

Telemetry experience required
-
Pre/Post Cath lab procedure experience required

Pre/Post IR procedure experience required

Willingness to perform pre-op duties required
-
Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition/management skills required

RQI certifications not accepted

Pending license accepted

Provide PACU nursing care for post-anesthesia inpatients, including pre/post cath lab and IR procedure support

Limited to no pediatric experience will be considered
-
First-time travelers will be considered upon client screening
-
RTO requests greater than 7 days require approval
-
No RTO permitted during the first 7 days or last day of the contract
-
No candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility will be accepted for the local rate
-
Former staff must have a 12-month separation before returning
-
Travelers who have worked 4 consecutive assignments or reached the one-year mark require a 6-month system break before returning
-
COVID vaccine is optional, but the facility requires reporting of vaccination status or declination
