The Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing aspects of daily operations at Washington Square Bar & Grill, ensuring an exceptional guest experience, strong financial performance, and a positive, team-driven work environment. This role leads front of house operations, drives revenue growth, and upholds the restaurant’s standards for quality, service, and community presence. This role has a focus on managing our bar and our bar staff.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management

Oversee daily restaurant operations, including dining room, bar, and kitchen coordination

Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and service

Monitor and maintain compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations

Bar ordering and inventory
Team Leadership & Development

Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff

Guest Experience

Qualifications

2–4+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a full-service setting

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Proven ability to drive sales and manage costs effectively

Knowledge of food, beverage, and bar operations

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
