Duties
- Maintain cleanliness by washing dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, and pans efficiently and thoroughly
- Assist with bussing tables by clearing plates, silverware, and glassware promptly to ensure a tidy dining area
- Support food preparation tasks such as chopping ingredients or assembling simple menu items under supervision
- Help with setup and breakdown of banquet or catering events, ensuring all areas are clean and organized before and after service
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to uphold health standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of dishes from prep to service
- Maintain a clean work environment by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing kitchen surfaces regularly
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is key!
- Familiarity with basic food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting trays or cleaning supplies
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues in busy environments
- Experience with bussing, food preparation, or catering is a plus; hotel or banquet experience is highly valued
- Knowledge of kitchen safety protocols and cleaning procedures is advantageous
- Enthusiasm for delivering excellent customer service and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere
