Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced A-Level Automotive Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will perform complex diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles. This role requires extensive technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnostics and Repairs: Perform and assist technicians with advanced diagnostics and repairs on ABS, suspension, electrical systems, and HVAC systems.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all repairs leaving the shop meet industry standards and customer expectations. Test drive vehicles to confirm proper operation.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers to explain diagnostic results, necessary repairs, and maintenance recommendations.
- Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior technicians. Share knowledge and best practices.
- Documentation: Accurately document diagnostic findings, repairs performed, and parts used. Maintain detailed records for each vehicle. Assist technicians in thorough digital multipoint inspections documentation.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve complex customer and technical issues. Provide technical support to the service team.
- Dependability and Promptness: Maintain punctuality and dependability in all work hours.
- Management Responsibilities: Oversee and manage a team of 5 employees, ensuring efficiency and quality across the service department.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent. Advanced technical training or certifications preferred.
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an automotive technician.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, equipment, and software.
- Excellent typing and grammar while using shop software
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Calm demeanor in high-pressure situations.
Work Hours
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Compensation
- Pay: $30-40 per flagged hour.
- Flagged Hours Requirement: The A-Level Technician is required to complete a minimum of 30 flagged hours per week.
- Minimum Guaranteed Pay: A minimum guaranteed pay will be provided to ensure income stability.
- Yearly Performance Bonus: Eligible for a yearly performance bonus based on individual and shop performance metrics.
