Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10 coding standards to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute mental health emergencies effectively and ensure client safety.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote therapy sessions while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards.
- Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices for clients with co-occurring disorders, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, addiction issues, grief, gender issues, or chronic pain.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation adhering to clinical ethical guidelines and medical terminology standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, medical professionals, educators, and family members to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Engage in ongoing clinical research and data collection to enhance treatment outcomes and stay current with advancements in behavioral health practices.
Experience
- Valid licensure as a Mental Health Professional (e.g., Licensed Graduate Counselor (LMSW, LGADC, LCADC) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent).
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or geriatrics in outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitation & Reprocessing), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral management, grief counseling, addiction counseling, trauma-informed care including PTSD care, and crisis management.
- Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and experience providing remote patient care while ensuring confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
- Knowledge of ICD coding systems (CD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder or those requiring special education accommodations.
- Background in clinical research or medical documentation standards related to mental health services is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to mental health diagnoses and treatments.
