Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have a strong understanding of the food and beverage industry. As a Server, you will be responsible for creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring that all service standards are met.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions and make recommendations to enhance the dining experience, including upselling specials.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Process payments accurately through cash handling and basic math skills.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and adhering to sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and timely food preparation.
- Assist with guest relations, ensuring that all guests feel valued and appreciated during their visit.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred, with fine dining experience being a plus.
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is advantageous.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food handling practices is beneficial.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy shifts.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests quickly.
- Experience in cashiering and handling cash transactions is required.
