Customs Broker

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and licensed Customs Broker to join our logistics team in City of Industry, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing import customs clearance, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations, and coordinating with government agencies, carriers, brokers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth and timely shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and submit customs entry documentation for import shipments.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and other applicable government agency requirements.
- Classify products using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and determine applicable duties, taxes, and fees.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, customs officials, and government agencies to resolve clearance issues.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively address customs holds, examinations, or documentation discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate customs records and ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements.
- Stay current on changes in customs regulations, trade policies, and import/export compliance requirements.
- Support internal departments by providing customs and trade compliance guidance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid U.S. Customs Broker License (LCB) issued by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of customs brokerage or import compliance experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. import regulations, HTS classification, customs valuation, and trade compliance.
- Experience with customs brokerage software and logistics systems is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual (English/Mandarin).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in e-commerce, retail, or third-party logistics (3PL) industries.
- Familiarity with FDA, USDA, FCC, EPA, or other Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirements.
- Experience handling high-volume import shipments.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
