Job Title: Regional Nurse Educator (Full-Time)
Location: San Antonio, TX (Regional Travel Required)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Nurse Educator to support our skilled nursing facilities in the San Antonio region. This role is responsible for providing clinical education, supporting staff development, and leading CNA training and onboarding programs. The ideal candidate is passionate about developing others, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving clinical excellence across multiple buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide on-site clinical training and education to nursing staff across assigned facilities
Lead and coordinate CNA training programs (NATCEP), including classroom and clinical instruction
Support new hire onboarding for nursing staff, ensuring competency and confidence
Assist facilities with survey readiness, clinical standards, and regulatory compliance
Conduct skills validations and competency assessments
Partner with DONs and facility leadership to identify education needs and performance gaps
Develop and implement education plans and in-services based on QAPI trends
Ensure adherence to state and federal training requirements
Qualifications:
Active RN license in the state of Texas (required)
Minimum 3 years of experience in skilled nursing/long-term care
Previous experience in staff development, education, or training preferred
Experience with CNA training programs (NATCEP) strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and survey process
Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
Ability to travel regularly within the San Antonio/South Texas region
