Requirements:
- Bilingual
- Completed formal Medical Assistant education
- >2 years recent clinical experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Good communication
Preferred (Not Required, but a Plus!):
- Experience in pain management
- Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (ECW)
- C-arm/fluoroscopy knowledge
- Assisting with procedures under sedation
Responsibilities (include but limited to):
- Greet patients, check-in/out, collect payments
- Room patients, obtain vitals, record medical history
- Answer calls, voicemails, messages, schedule patients
- Complete medication refill requests and prior authorizations
- Prepare for future days' schedule, obtain imaging reports, PDMP
- Work alongside provider, scribing, sending orders/referrals
- Maintain medical supply inventory and place orders as needed
- Strict adherence to HIPAA regulations
- Clean and organize exam rooms, bathrooms, shared workspace
- Assist with correspondence, memos, letters, faxes, and forms
- Assist during in-office procedures and fluoroscopy (training provided)
- Perform IV placement (if already trained)
- Obtain and prepare urine specimens for lab submission
- Prepare sterile fields for procedures and maintain instrument sterilization (cleaning, autoclave)
- Communicate physician orders and address patient inquiries
- Educate patients regarding procedures and pre/post-care instructions
- Perform preventive maintenance on medical equipment and report repairs
- Be willing to cross-train in various office tasks as needed
- Perform additional tasks assigned by management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
