We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to residents in an Assisted Living setting. As a Resident Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting residents with daily activities while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Remind residents to take medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Assist residents with mobility and lifting as needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Support residents in daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity.
- Engage residents in social and recreational activities to enhance their emotional well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of resident care and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
Requirements
- Previous experience in long-term care, home community care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures is a plus.
- Ability to lift and support residents safely; physical stamina is essential for this role.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
- Familiarity with dementia care practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in caregiving or nursing assistance are advantageous.
