Wonder Care Site Coordinator
Position Summary
The Site Coordinator is responsible for supervision, planning, implementing, and organizing the daily before and after school and non school day program. A major emphasis is on program excellence and developing quality care to the highest standard. The site coordinator will supervise staff that are assigned to them, including staff who float between sites. They must maintain a safe environment for all students and communicate with parents or guardians and all school personnel regularly.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age and a highschool diploma or equivalent, Bachelor degree preferred but not required.
- Supervisory experience prefered.
- Experience working with children under 13 years of age.
- Have strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Possess a general knowledge of the Webster Central School District (WCSD) core beliefs, mission, and vision.
- Demonstrates an expertise in youth programming and leadership.
Certifications/Requirements:
- Completes required training mandated by WCSD.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize,and implement daily program schedules.
- Ensures all aspects of the program are developmentally appropriate, and meet the individual needs of the students (social/ emotional, cognitive, and physical needs).
- Maintain a safe environment for all children in the program.
- Maintain all records, attendance, fire and emergency drills, sign in and out, behavior, and medical logs as determined by the Director.
- Trains, evaluates, and supervises staff.
- Attends required professional development training.
- Maintains a positive working relationship with staff, students, parents or guardians, and school personnel.
- Assigns staff to duties.
- Prompt communication with the director with regards to staffing problems and concerns, student and parent concerns, and other problem areas that arise.
- Ensure appropriate staff to student ratios.
- Ensure staff follows dress code.
- Wears proper identification, staff shirt or presentable clothing (business casual) AT ALL TIMES.
- Maintain equipment and inventory supplies
- Maintains clean and organized facilities in the school and areas of the school that the program uses.
- Displays a positive attitude and is flexible and willing to adjust to change.
- Follows, implements, and monitors WonderCare program standards.
- Assists the director with programming, staff recruitment and hiring, and communication with families and school leaders.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director.
- Routinely evaluates program quality and practices and implements necessary steps to remedy weakness.
