Field Service and Repair Technician
FaciliServ is seeking an energetic Field Service and Repair Technician to serve our growing service areas. Motivated for safety and success, this full-time, hands-on opportunity provides the opportunity to travel within our regional service areas, to help ensure that athletic equipment at schools, stadiums, and recreation centers is safe, operational, and ready for action.

Job Summary
The work done by our field service technicians directly supports safe environments for athletes, students, and spectators alike. It combines mechanical knowledge, physical activity, problem-solving, and limited customer interaction, making it perfect for those who are skilled with tools, comfortable working at heights, work with attention to detail, and are excited to travel for work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel: Travel throughout the Southeast Market (SC, NC, AL, GA, MS, VA, TN, KY, FL, etc.) to assigned client sites to complete repairs and service work. All driving time is compensated and done in a company-provided fleet vehicle. A typical schedule involves leaving from Liberty, SC hub Monday Morning and returning Friday afternoon/evening, unless completing local work.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect, repair, and maintain gym and bleacher equipment to meet safety and operational standards.
- Customer Engagement: Act in a professional manner on-site, troubleshooting equipment issues to resolve customer concerns.
- Physical Work: Lift heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing, bending, crawling, and working in varied indoor/outdoor conditions. Work at elevations ranging from 20–50 feet using ladders, lifts, and fall protection gear. Uphold company vehicle safety standards and safe driving practices. Able to meet physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Adhere to all safety standards.
- Documentation: Accurately record work performed, materials used, complete job paperwork, and obtain customer sign off for each project.
Qualifications:
- Open to Travel: Ready and willing to travel full time, primarily Monday–Friday, including possible overnight travel, and occasional air travel as needed. Available for overtime hours, as necessary, during high-volume business periods.
- Hands-On Skills: Comfortable using a variety of hand tools and power tools, reading a tape measure, and working with your hands is required. Experience in carpentry, welding, electrical, or mechanical work is an asset. Willing to be trained, learn, and follow company procedures.
- Strong Communicator: Document your work in detail and communicate professionally with clients. Use company systems to maintain requisite work records. Attend ongoing training meetings and complete online training programs as designated.
- Safety-Minded: Work safely at any height and follow all safety procedures, adhering to any requirements for working in school environments. Follow PPE, OSHA, and Company safety protocols.Due to working in school environments, candidates are subject to criminal background checks meeting certain requirements. Able to pass DOT physical, DOT pre-employment drug/alcohol testing, and meet physical responsibilities of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 75lbs periodically.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Walk, crawl, run, climb, kneel, and work in tight areas regularly.
- Able to climb bleachers, ladders, and work in aerial lifts.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and clear motor vehicle report.
- Pass DOT physical/safety requirements.
- Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor settings.
- Ability to work independently, while managing multiple daily projects effectively.
- Able to travel continually to complete work assignments. Able to adjust routes at short notice, in order to accommodate client requests or business needs.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
