Position Summary:
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role you are responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing manufacturing equipment and facility systems to maximize production uptime. This position supports Acme screw machines, Davenport multi-spindle machines, assembly equipment, and general building maintenance while ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair Acme screw machines, Davenport multi-spindle machines, assembly equipment, conveyors, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot motors, motor starters, VFDs, relays, sensors, switches, solenoids, and control circuits.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, pneumatic prints, and mechanical drawings.
- Install, repair, and maintain facility equipment including lighting, HVAC systems, compressed air systems, plumbing, electrical systems, doors, docks, and general building infrastructure.
- Perform machine alignments, bearing replacements, gearbox repairs, belt replacements, and lubrication.
- Assist with equipment installations, machine moves, and production line modifications.
- Complete work orders and document maintenance activities accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout and PPE requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repairs.
- Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical school or industrial maintenance certification preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing
environment.
- Experience with Acme screw machines and Davenport multi-spindle machines preferred.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills in industrial environments.
- Experience with 480V three-phase electrical systems.
- Strong hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting experience.
- Mechanical aptitude with pumps, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, and power
transmission equipment.
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments and maintenance tools.
- Basic PLC troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights when necessary.
- Ability to work overtime or respond to emergency maintenance situations as required.
