Responsibilities
- Take and accurately process drink and food orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and precise transactions.
- Prepare and serve beverages and food items according to established recipes and safety standards while maintaining cleanliness and organization behind the bar or serving station.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about menu items, and offering recommendations to enhance their experience.
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations efficiently through effective time management, prioritizing tasks to serve guests promptly during busy hours.
- Handle cash handling duties accurately, including cashiering and processing payments with POS systems, ensuring proper cash reconciliation at shift end.
- Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation practices at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during events such as banquets or catering functions, providing seamless service in high-volume settings like nightclubs or large gatherings.
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is required, especially in fine dining and fast paced work environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, Toast is what we use so experience in that will give you priority
- Strong time management skills are essential for balancing multiple tables or bar stations during peak hours.
- Experience with serving alcohol responsibly while understanding food safety regulations is a plus.
- Knowledge of retail math, basic math skills, and cash handling ensures accurate transactions and efficient operations.
- Prior experience in catering or food industry roles demonstrates adaptability across various hospitality environments.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with a positive attitude help create welcoming atmospheres that keep guests coming back.
- Experience in shift management is a plus
- strong cocktail and wine knowledge is required
- experience serving a bar top and serving tables on the floor is required
Pay: $20.00 - $60.00 per hour
