As a Clinic CST in our ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat) clinic, you’ll be part of a highly skilled surgical team helping patients of all ages breathe easier, hear better, and live more comfortably.
Health problems involving the ears, nose, and throat can significantly impact daily life—and that’s where you come in. Deaconess Clinic ENT surgeons use the latest techniques and technology to provide advanced care, including tumor removal, head and neck reconstructive procedures, and treatment for complex ENT conditions. Our team also provides specialized pediatric ENT care and collaborates closely with doctoral-trained audiologists who evaluate, diagnose, and support patients with hearing and balance disorders.
The Clinic Specialty Certified Surgical Technologist is responsible for providing direct or indirect care, under the supervision of a physician, to patients who present for surgery in the operating room, in-office procedure rooms, and direct support to the surgeon in clinic managing post-op care. Services include, but are not limited to, general patient care, assistance with procedures, documentation of activities and patient/family education, coordination of equipment and supplies to varying operating rooms, and maintenance of in-office procedure rooms and autoclave. This role also performs department-specific duties requiring special training and provides care utilizing established principles and ethical standards, as well as policies and procedures established by Deaconess
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Surgical Technologist program. Required
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Current certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Required or
- Current certification from the National Center for Competency Testing Required or
- Current certification from the National Association for Health Professionals. Required
- CPR provider certification Required
