We are two restaurants in one, Jack & Harry’s + Pepperoni Grill in Merritt Island. We are currently hiring line cooks for the following stations: Grill / Fry Cook & Sauté Cook. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and presentation.
- Handle food with care, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Support food industry best practices by managing food handling procedures during meal preparation and service.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with the kitchen team to coordinate meal prep, ensuring timely delivery of orders during busy service hours.
- Contribute to catering events by preparing large quantities of dishes while maintaining quality standards.
- Serve dishes efficiently, ensuring each plate meets presentation standards before delivery to guests or service staff.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment, demonstrating strong kitchen skills.
- Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus, showcasing familiarity with special dietary needs.
- Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques, and cooking methods.
- Proficiency in food handling and safety procedures aligned with industry standards.
- Hands-on experience in food catering or large-scale food service operations is desirable.
