Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast items according to established recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, poaching stations, braising pans, and food prep tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by following food safety procedures and sanitizing protocols throughout the shift.
- Assist with menu planning by providing input on breakfast offerings and seasonal specials to enhance guest experience.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and portioning in compliance with food safety management guidelines.
- Support high-volume production needs during busy service times while adhering strictly to recipe adherence and presentation standards.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service, including catering support and serving when needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting, especially in fine dining or high-volume environments.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation for breakfast dishes.
- Exceptional knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Experience with dietary aide procedures, menu planning, and dietary department standards is preferred.
- Understanding of food safety sanitizing procedures, food handling practices, and food safety management systems.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with a passion for culinary excellence and customer service.
