Medical Scribe – Emergency Department | Bradenton, FL
Our company is seeking a Medical Scribe with a commitment to excellence and a very strong work ethic. As a dedicated member of the medical team, you will be responsible for accurately documenting a patient’s history, symptoms, and diagnosis. The ideal candidate will have excellent typing skills and the ability to absorb large amounts of information in a short amount of time. We are looking for an organized individual with exceptional communication skills who is capable of putting together accurate reports.
Position Details
- Full-time or part-time available
- Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Day Shift: 10:00 AM- 4:00PM, 4:00 PM- 10:00 PM
- Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 4:00 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Update patient records in real time
- Anticipate the physician’s needs and help them efficiently and quickly see and document on patients
- Document basic treatment and decision-making plans
- Gather doctors’ orders and information
- Communicate with doctors and nurses to obtain patient information
- Document doctors’ orders in the patient record
- Locate and bring basic documents and information to the provider
- Advise the provider of past medical history or recent ER visits noted within the EMR
Qualifications
- Previous medical scribing/transcription experience required (1+ years in the ER strongly preferred)
- Cerner EMR knowledge is a plus
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy
- Ability to process and organize large amounts of clinical information quickly
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Growth & Compensation
We are looking for scribes who wish to grow with our company and advance into trainer and manager roles. A paid training period is provided. We are willing to increase pay through promotions for qualified candidates, with the potential to reach $19+/hour for those who demonstrate dedication and strong performance.
