JOB SUMMARY: Serve as Part-Time Guest Services/Gift Shop Associate by being responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while supporting daily retail and front-of-house operations. We are looking for weekend and some week day availability.
This role represents NOVA Wild to guests and must maintain professionalism, efficiency, and a positive attitude at all times. Ideal candidates are dependable, positive and comfortable working in both an indoor and outdoor setting.

Minimum Job Requirements: Must be willing to consistently provide internal and external customer service above and beyond expectation.
● Must be at least 16 years old.
● Must have reliable transportation.
● Strong verbal communication and guest engagement skills.
● Ability to follow NOVA Wild company policies respectfully.
● Flexibility in schedule and ability to work evenings/weekends/holidays. Reliable attendance and punctuality.
● Multi-lingual desired, Spanish preferred

● Support the Institution’s mission and core values.
● Maintain compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies governing the maintenance of the facilities and collections.
● Create a welcoming atmosphere for clientele that fosters repeat visits. Provide a positive guest experience for guests on high volume days and coordinate traffic flow and appropriate staffing.
● Provide accurate information about zoo policies, pricing, safety rules, and animal feeding guidelines.
● Confidently upsell animal feed and encounters.
● Answer all phone calls in a timely manner.
● Resolve minor guest concerns.
● Operate the POS system accurately. (cash, card, gift card and discounts)
● Maintain organized, fully stocked displays.
● Notify leadership of low-stock items.
● Sweep floors thoroughly and often
● Wipe counters, clean glass, and maintain tidy areas
● Clean Bathrooms (i.e toilets, floors, mirrors)
● Empty trash and replace liners.
● Restock merchandise.
● Assist in parking operations, public traffic flow, and park cleanliness.
● Follow attendance and call-out procedures
● Adhere to cell phone policy while on duty.
● Take accountability for mistakes and apply feedback appropriately
● Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Safety/Security
● Work in a safe manner always.
● Properly use and keep, in good order, all personal protective equipment (PPE) supplied to them as protection from recognized hazards.
● Report any unsafe condition
Must have a working knowledge of all facility wide, and department specific safety procedures that relate to their position, including, but not limited to: Emergency Evacuation, Lockdown Procedure, and Fire Extinguisher Use
Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
