About the Position
We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and customer-focused Licensed Settlement & Escrow Processor to join our growing team in Frederick, Maryland. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service to real estate agents, lenders, buyers, sellers, and attorneys.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing residential real estate transactions from contract to closing, possess strong knowledge of Maryland settlement procedures, and be proficient in Qualia.
Requirements
- Active Maryland Title Insurance Producer License (required)
- Minimum of 5 years of settlement and escrow processing experience
- Advanced knowledge of residential real estate transactions and settlement procedures
- Proficiency with Qualia settlement software
- Strong understanding of title commitments, title clearance, payoffs, surveys, and settlement documentation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Must be willing and able to work in person at our Frederick, Maryland office
Responsibilities
- Process residential real estate transactions from contract receipt through closing
- Open and manage settlement files in Qualia
- Review contracts and lender instructions
- Coordinate with real estate agents, lenders, attorneys, buyers, and sellers
- Order and review title work, surveys, HOA information, tax certifications, and municipal requirements
- Resolve title issues and assist with curative matters
- Prepare settlement statements and closing packages
- Coordinate scheduling and closing logistics
- Ensure compliance with Maryland regulations and company procedures
- Maintain proactive communication with all parties throughout the transaction process
- Deliver a high level of service while meeting deadlines and closing timelines
