HIRING SALARY RANGEMINIMUM HIRING SALARY: $60,000 ANNUALLY
The Director of Work-Based Learning and Apprenticeships will manage Work-Based Learning (WBL) credit-based employment, Perkins V Grant activities, maintain compliance with Perkins V Handbook guidelines, assist students with apprentice employment opportunities, and assist employers in the Duplin County area with the development, administration, and registration of apprenticeships.
This position will report to the Vice President of Academic Affairs/Chief Academic Officer. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

- Identify, secure, and maintain positive internal (faculty, staff) and external relationships (industries, economic development, state and local organizations), including communications and other collaborations within Duplin County.

Develop and conduct impactful orientation sessions for students and prospective students on WBL/Apprenticeship opportunities and requirements (including paperwork).

Build, manage, monitor, and report on WBL courses, schedules, and compliance.

Partner with Academic Affairs to manage curriculum related to WBL/Apprenticeships and set expectations for program outcomes to justify funding.

Identify, establish, secure, and maintain business relationships with participating businesses regarding existing and new WBL/Apprenticeship opportunities.

Provides oversight of Apprenticeship-related trainings.

Collaborate with JSCC Marketing and Recruiting for advertisements and publicity related to WBL and Apprenticeships

Provide data and reports to include federal, state, regional, and local metrics to the North Carolina Community College ApprenticeshipNC program as required.

Communicate with the North Carolina Community College Systems Office to ensure proper compliance by completing all required federal and state paperwork regarding JSCC apprenticeship programs.

Establish, recruit, lead, and manage an Advisory Committee for WBL/Apprenticeship for participating employers.

Manage Perkins V Grant activities as well as maintain compliance with Perkins V Handbook guidelines.

Coordinate the development, monitoring, and submission of annual Perkins V Grant applications, budgets, amendments, and reports.

Collaborate with academic deans, faculty, Institutional Effectiveness personnel, and Workforce Development staff to identify funding priorities aligned with career and technical education goals and workforce needs.

Ensure Perkins-funded activities support student achievement, credential attainment, workforce readiness, special populations, and program improvement initiatives.

Coordinate data collection and assessment activities related to Perkins performance indicators.

Serves on college committees as directed by supervisor.

Acquires computer/technology competencies as appropriate to the position.

Maintains security of personal computer access.

Perform other professional or job-related duties as assigned.
