Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service from seating to departure
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Upsell menu items, beverages, and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktail and spirits service with knowledge of drink recipes
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, bar stations, and service stations
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage guest seating efficiently
- Demonstrate wine knowledge and food safety practices to ensure quality service
- Foster guest relations by addressing needs promptly and ensuring overall satisfaction
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Experience in bartending is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine, and drink presentation techniques
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Food safety certification or experience with sanitation standards in the food industry is advantageous
- Experience in serving or host/hostess roles helps facilitate seamless guest experiences
