How you'll make an impact in this role:
- Manage post-thoracic surgery patients including lobectomy, pneumonectomy, VATS procedures, and chest wall surgeries

Close collaboration with the thoracic surgery team and pulmonary interventionalists.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions including lung cancer.

Monitor and manage chest tubes, pleural drains, and post-operative complications

Assess and respond to respiratory compromise, including oxygen therapy, high-flow devices, and non-invasive ventilation
What minimum qualifications you'll need:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
What additional requirements you'll need:
- Must obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification for this unit within the first 3 months.
