Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic, engaging, and knowledgeable Pool Store Sales & Technical Service Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience in sales within the pool industry and a basic understanding of, or a passion for, repairing robotic pool cleaners.In this role, you will do more than just manage a register. You will act as a trusted advisor, testing water, recommending the right chemical treatments, and acting as our in-store expert for troubleshooting and repairing robotic pool cleaners.What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
- Customer Engagement & Sales: Greet customers, provide expert advice on pool maintenance, and sell chemicals, parts, and equipment.
- Robotic Cleaner Technician: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair various brands of robotic pool cleaners. We are willing to train the right candidate on specific brands and repair techniques!.
- Water Testing & Analysis: Perform in-store water testing, interpret results, and recommend custom treatment solutions.
- Merchandising & Inventory: Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked showroom.
- Point of Sale (POS): Accurately process transactions and manage customer accounts.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
- Experience: 1–3+ years of retail sales experience, preferably in the pool supply or outdoor living industry.
- Technical Aptitude: Experience with or strong desire to learn the repair of robotic cleaners (e.g., Maytronics/Dolphin, Polaris, Hayward).
- Customer Service: Excellent communication skills and a passion for helping customers.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with pool chemicals and water chemistry is a huge plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
