Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team on a part-time basis. In this vital role, you will provide infusion therapy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with experience in various medical settings. This role requires proficiency in IV infusion techniques, patient assessment, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care, support clinical operations, and assist in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our diverse patient population. Responsibilities
- Administer IV infusions and medications according to established protocols.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitoring vital signs throughout treatment.
- Provide education and support to patients regarding their treatment options and procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize EMR systems for efficient patient record management.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Walk members through medications, peptides, hormone therapies, and other treatments the physician has prescribed, including purpose, administration, and expected outcomes.
- Conduct patient triage by assessing symptoms, prioritizing urgent needs, and communicating effectively with physicians or emergency services when necessary.
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the EMR system.
- Coordinate with MAs, and other clinic staff to keep member care seamless.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Comfort with (or willingness to learn) hormone optimization, peptide therapy, and other advanced wellness modalities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate clinical information for a sophisticated, highly informed member population
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for patient education and relationship-building
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple member relationships and follow-ups at once, independently and remotely
- Tech-savvy, with comfort learning and navigating new digital tools and platforms (EMR, scheduling, patient communication systems)
- Valid LVN license with current state of Texas licensure is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as eCW Clinical Works experience with medical documentation is essential.
- Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) certification required.
