We are seeking an Expert Systems Engineer to provide senior-level technical leadership in support of complex national security and geospatial intelligence programs. In this role, you will help guide multidisciplinary engineering teams through the full systems engineering lifecycle, ensuring mission requirements are translated into scalable, resilient, and effective solutions across enterprise environments. This position supports initiatives spanning the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and other Federal partners.
- Support the Government in leading systems engineering efforts across requirements development, solution design, integration, testing, sustainment, and performance analysis.
- Analyze and trace user requirements to system architectures, workflows, and technical solutions.
- Advise stakeholders on solution changes driven by mission needs, emerging technologies, and operational priorities.
- Translate mission and customer needs into technical requirements and system capabilities.
- Support allocation of requirements across system components and implementation programs.
- Lead or support systems integration activities across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
- Conduct and guide Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), Course of Action (CoA) studies, trade studies, and technical assessments.
- Contribute to strategic technical planning, risk management, interface design, and performance engineering.
- Provide technical guidance aligning long-term vision, mission needs, and engineering execution.
- Coordinate engineering efforts across multiple major acquisition programs and organizational boundaries.
- Mentor and oversee junior and senior engineering staff across the program.

Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
