MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY: Some knowledge in the teaching and training of children aged
8 weeks through age 12; ability to maintain records; ability to maintain orderly conduct; ability to
communicate with children. Required to take 18 hours of professional development courses for full-time
aides and 9 hours for part-time aides to meet state guidelines.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working
with children preferred but not required. Interest in early childhood education and willingness to learn and
participate in required trainings are essential. Must meet applicable state licensing requirements and
support program standards, including those related to accreditation.
