Position Overview
The Clinical Director is responsible for overseeing all clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and effective program development. This role provides leadership to the clinical team and works collaboratively with executive leadership to drive program success and patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to therapists, counselors, and clinical staff
- Ensure all clinical services meet state, federal, and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CARF, Medicaid)
- Oversee treatment planning, case management, and documentation compliance
- Develop and implement evidence-based programming and clinical protocols
- Conduct regular chart audits and quality assurance reviews
- Manage staff hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
- Facilitate clinical team meetings and case consultations
- Collaborate with admissions, medical, and operations teams to ensure continuity of care
- Support census growth through program development and referral relationships
- Monitor outcomes and implement improvements based on data and performance metrics
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- Active, unrestricted clinical license in IN (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT)
- Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid and insurance requirements (preferred)
- Experience with EMR systems and documentation compliance
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage conflict, and drive performance
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in residential or inpatient treatment settings
- Familiarity with ASAM criteria and trauma-informed care
- Experience with audits, licensing, and accreditation surveys

Pay: $89,364.34 - $107,621.56 per year
