Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status, including diagnostic evaluation and physiological considerations.
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans tailored to patients’ medical conditions, including chronic diseases, geriatrics, and acute care needs.
- Provide expert guidance on specialized nutrition therapies such as tube feeding and dietary modifications for various medical conditions.
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems to document assessments, care plans, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately.
- Offer health coaching sessions focused on weight management, lifestyle changes, and chronic disease management to motivate and empower patients.
- Supervise and mentor dietetic interns or junior staff while ensuring compliance with clinical nutrition standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless integration of nutrition services within overall treatment plans.
- Stay current with advancements in clinical nutrition, dietetics practices, and hospital protocols related to dietary department operations.
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential from an accredited program or certifying body.
- Proven experience in clinical nutrition settings such as hospitals or long-term care facilities.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and nutritional analysis methods.
- Experience managing tube feeding protocols and creating comprehensive care plans for diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and data management.
- Excellent skills in motivational interviewing and health coaching to support behavior change initiatives.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with dietetic interns or team members preferred.
- Familiarity with weight loss programs, dietary modifications for chronic diseases, geriatrics, and acute care environments.
- Ability to assess patient needs accurately through patient assessment techniques and nutritional analysis tools.
