QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Drivers of school buses/vehicles shall have a valid commercial drivers license and meet all requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:39-17, 18, 19 and 20 of the N.J. Division of Motor Vehicle and follow all procedures as prescribed by the Commissioner of Education.
2. Minimum of three years previous safe driving experience.
3. Ability to maintain passenger discipline so as to ensure their safety and well-being and to protect against vandalism.
4. Every contracted and substitute driver shall comply with all regulations pertaining to health examinations prescribed for employees by the Lacey Township Board of Education under the provisions of N.J.S.A. 18:05-50.5.
5. Every contracted and substitute driver shall comply with submission of fingerprints for a criminal history background check to the Commissioner of Education (18A:39-19.1) as required.
6. Every contracted and substitute driver shall comply with submission of a drug and alcohol test as required under Board Policy.
7. Must hold a valid CDL Class B school bus license with passenger and student endorsement.
