Overview
Join our new restaurant team as a line cook! We are a fast scratch cooking Italian restaurant. We will be focusing on pizzas, pastas, sandwiches and salads. We are currently hiring for all hours. We will train those with no prior kitchen experience. This is a great opportunity to grow with a new restaurant. We have room to grow with our company as well!
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes, standards, and safety guidelines
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting innovative dishes and seasonal specials
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations to ensure food safety standards are met at all times
- Handle food with proper techniques, including slicing, dicing, and portioning using knife skills and slicing techniques
- Ensure all food preparation aligns with safety standards in production and food handling regulations
- Support catering events and serve food efficiently during peak hours or special functions
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth kitchen operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred. Will train the right candidates.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen safety standards
- Excellent knife skills and slicing techniques for efficient food prep
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in the food industry or culinary field demonstrating proficiency in meal preparation and food service operations
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
