Leading global metals manufacturing and distribution company is looking for full-time CNC Machine Operator/Setup at a key service location in Walnut, CA. Candidates should ideally have experience in loading parts into the machine, cycles machine and detects malfunctions in the machine operations, such as worn or damaged tools. This is an opportunity for an ambitious individual to achieve personal growth in an expanding operation. Applicant needs a willingness to learn, interest in training on various types of machinery and good communication skills.
Job duties:
Utilization of mill and CNC machinery
Operation of fork-lift and overhead crane equipment
Position and secure steel plates on machines, using holding devices, precision measuring instruments, hand tools
Remove steel plates from machines, and check to ensure that they conform to specifications, using precision measuring instruments
Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition
Qualifications / requirements:
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required
Strong ability to work within a team
Basic mechanical abilities
Dependability and high motivation
Must be able to use micrometers, calipers, indicators, height, depth and bore gages, etc.
