Job Summary

Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote infant development, including motor skills, social-emotional growth, and language acquisition
- Ensure the safety and supervision of infants at all times through attentive child supervision and classroom management
- Support daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and sensory activities in accordance with health and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to foster strong partnerships
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning while adhering to sanitation protocols
- Follow mandated reporting laws and health guidelines to ensure compliance with licensing regulations and promote child safety
- Participate in ongoing training related to childhood development instruction, first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and special education practices
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) including pediatric first aid training
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while creating a nurturing environment
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse and neglect
- Passion for early childhood education and a genuine desire to support infants' growth and development
