American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist proficient in both mammography and DEXA scanning for a 13-week travel assignment in an outpatient imaging setting.

Outpatient mammography unit with a Hologic Selenia Dimensions 3D Mammography System and Hologic Horizon DXA System
-
Proficiency in both mammography and DEXA scanning is required, including routine and diagnostic breast imaging
-
Routine breast imaging is scheduled every 30 minutes, diagnostic breast imaging every 40 minutes, and DEXA scans every 20 minutes
-
Works alongside 1 scheduler and 1 other technologist

12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Minimum of 2 years of mammography experience required

Proficiency in both diagnostic and routine breast imaging, as well as bone densitometry (DEXA)

Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)

Current applicable state license required if applicable

Valid driver's license required for consideration

Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

Responsibilities include positioning patients for mammographic studies, adjusting compression mechanisms, minimizing radiation exposure, and forwarding completed studies to the radiologist for interpretation

Also responsible for performing bone densitometry scans under physician supervision

Duties include equipment maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and maintaining mammography supplies and patient records
