Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the daycare center, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum aligned with early childhood education standards
- Supervise and support teaching staff, providing classroom management guidance and professional development opportunities
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, and licensing requirements
- Foster positive relationships with families through regular communication, updates, and parent meetings
- Oversee staff scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations
- Ensure a safe environment by conducting regular safety checks, managing child behavior, and implementing emergency procedures such as pediatric first aid protocols
- Manage classroom environments to promote inclusive learning experiences for children of diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements
Experience
- Proven experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings
- Demonstrated classroom management skills with a focus on behavior management techniques
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a childcare or educational setting preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and teaching strategies for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse and neglect
- Certification in first aid (including pediatric first aid) and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are advantageous
- Hands-on experience in classroom setup, curriculum planning, and caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is valuable

Pay: $48,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
