Veterinary Practice Manager
We are seeking an experienced, organized, and people-focused Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our veterinary hospitals. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who enjoys building a positive team culture, improving workflows, supporting staff development, and ensuring an exceptional experience for our clients and patients.
The Practice Manager will work closely with the ownership team and medical staff to maintain a successful, efficient, and compassionate practice environment.
Responsibilities Include: Practice Operations & Leadership
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital
- Support and lead the veterinary team, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development
- Maintain and improve hospital policies, procedures, and workflows
- Help create a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork and accountability
- Monitor staffing needs and assist with scheduling and coverage
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety standards, and veterinary industry regulations
Client Experience
- Serve as a resource for client concerns, complaints, and service recovery
- Help maintain strong client relationships and encourage client loyalty
- Identify opportunities to improve the client experience
- Support communication efforts, including marketing initiatives and community outreach
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Assist with monitoring practice financial performance and key metrics
- Review revenue trends, expenses, and operational reports
- Assist with budgeting and financial planning
- Monitor accounts receivable and assist with resolving billing discrepancies
- Assist with inventory cost control, purchasing decisions, and vendor relationships
- Review pricing, profitability, and operational efficiencies
- Work with ownership and accounting partners on financial goals and reporting
Inventory & Equipment Management
- Oversee inventory management processes, including ordering and organization
- Maintain relationships with vendors and evaluate purchasing opportunities
- Monitor equipment needs, maintenance schedules, and replacement planning
- Ensure medical equipment and hospital supplies are maintained appropriately
Qualifications:
- Previous veterinary practice management or healthcare management experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with employee relations, coaching, and team development
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable reviewing financial reports and operational data
- Proficiency with veterinary practice management software and Microsoft Office preferred
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
