Position Overview
Zona Futbol is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Youth Soccer Coach to join our growing coaching staff. This is a paid, part-time coaching position focused on delivering high-quality technical training in both small-group and individual sessions.
The ideal candidate is energetic, dependable, and passionate about helping young athletes improve while creating an engaging, positive training environment.
Whether you're a current or former college player, coach, or someone with strong soccer experience, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Lead technical soccer training sessions for players ages 8–18.
- Deliver structured sessions following the Zona Futbol curriculum.
- Create a fun, energetic, and professional training environment.
- Coach players through technical drills, decision-making activities, and small-sided games.
- Encourage confidence, creativity, discipline, and sportsmanship.
- Provide constructive feedback that helps players improve.
- Build positive relationships with players and parents.
- Set up and organize equipment before each session.
- Ensure player safety and maintain a clean training environment.
- Represent the Zona Futbol brand with professionalism on and off the field.
- Assist with clinics, camps, evaluations, and special events as needed.
What We're Looking For - Required
- Strong soccer playing or coaching background.
- Experience working with youth athletes.
- Positive attitude and high energy.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to work afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred
- College playing experience (NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, etc.)
- Club coaching experience.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience leading individual or small-group technical training.
