Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere
- Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements and wait times to optimize guest flow and satisfaction
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems to ensure timely delivery
- Assist with guest inquiries over the phone, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Support food safety standards by maintaining cleanliness and organization of host/guest areas
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing needs promptly and professionally, fostering positive guest relations
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service throughout the dining experience
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Proven organizational skills to manage reservations, seating, and guest flow effectively
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Basic math skills for handling guest checks and payments accurately
- Knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with POS systems is advantageous
- Understanding of food safety protocols and hospitality standards to ensure a safe dining environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting
