Position Summary:
JFCS is seeking a part-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our growing Behavioral Health team. This position will provide high-quality, trauma-informed counseling services to older adults, caregivers, families, and other community members.
The LCSW will provide counseling at JFCS and/or partner locations in the Portland metro area, including potential service sites in Southwest Portland. The ideal candidate is an experienced, ethical, and person-centered clinician who can work independently in community-based settings while also contributing to a collaborative, mission-driven team.
Essential Job Functions:
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual counseling and support to clients using a trauma-informed, person-centered approach.
- Serve older adults, caregivers, families, and other community members based on program needs.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency standards.
- Collaborate with JFCS staff and community partners to support client care and appropriate referrals.
- Participate in relevant team meetings, supervision, and program coordination.
- Uphold client confidentiality, ethical standards, and professional boundaries.
- Represent JFCS with professionalism, compassion, and cultural humility in community-based settings.
Qualifications
- Current Oregon LCSW license required.
- Experience providing counseling or clinical support to adults, older adults, caregivers, or families.
- Strong clinical judgment and commitment to ethical, trauma-informed care.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with a collaborative team.
- Comfort providing services in community-based or partner-site settings.
- Commitment to serving people of all backgrounds, faiths, identities, and life experiences.
